Operate a live-in restoration facility for girls in Uganda where over 100 trafficking and sexual abuse survivors have come through the doors and received care since 2011. Facilitate a program which has been created to break the cycle of abuse and equip each survivor with the tools needed to heal mind, body, and soul. Survivors receive: safe housing with round-the-clock security, medical care, trauma- informed individual and group therapy, and academic tutoring and vocational training.
Serve the most vulnerable population of at-risk women and children in the Batey and Barrio communities in the Dominican Republic. This is done by providing Hope through through protection and prosecution, Empowerment through Education and Employment, and Restoration through Resurrection of Identity and Faith.
The Facts
Human Trafficking - Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world, generating more than $150 billion USD every year and it is continuing to grow. Traffickers exploit 25 million people annually (equivalent to the entire population of Australia).
Extreme Poverty - It is estimated that 689 million people live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $1.90 a day. Children and youth account for two-thirds of the world’s poor, and women represent a majority in most regions.
